gue or que ending

Our spelling for the next 2 weeks is to know that words that have a g sound at the end are spelt using gue (vague) whereas those with a k sound have a que (antique) ending.

Here are the words you can choose from to learn:

tongue, rogue, catalogue, monologue, synagogue, intrigue, league, vague, dialogue, fatigue

unique, grotesque, antique, mosque, boutique, plaque, cheque, technique, picturesque, opaque

Use the link below to help practise these words http://www.spellzone.com/games/index.cfm?wordlist=4648 and bring in your work for our spelling wall.

Use a dictionary to find out the meaning of any words you are not sure of like we did in class today.  Maybe some of you could even order these words alphabetically as part of the work you do to practise your spelling.

Good luck
