We looked at how and why mosaics were made in Roman times and then planned our own design using squared paper.  To replicate the process of making tiles the right shape and size for a design we then worked as a class to carefully cut out centimetre squares.  This was tiring and repetitive with paper, we couldn’t begin to imagine what it would have been like in Roman times.  We then glued the coloured tiles on our plan to create some beautiful pieces which are on display in the corridor.   Would you like to have done this job on daily basis? Why or Why not?
