IN prefix

A prefix is a string of letters which goes before the root word.

We have begun the year by looking at IN which can mean in/into, not or between/among.

Here are the words we have been looking at in class.

Inactive, incorrect, incredible, incomplete, informal, indirect, insane, indefinite, invisible, incapable, incompatible, inconsiderate, inoffensive, indistinct, independent, inadequate, in-depth, international, interrelated, interact.

Don’t forget to bring into school the work you do at home to help you learn to spell these words.  Also use these links as extra spelling practise to help you get full marks in our Friday test.

Feel free to reply to this post to show some of the work you do at home rather than bring paper copies into school.
